SPT: Easter Egg Hunt

I actually hosted an egg hunt on our street this year. Thursday morning Ann (a neighborhood mom) and I hid 18 dozen plastic eggs in the yards of the participating families. When it was time for the Easter egg hunt, we told all the kids they had to stop once they found a dozen, we gave the preschoolers a head start, and that was all the work that went into it. No biggie for me, but so much fun for the kids. Kiddos and moms were all very appreciative - I don't know why this was our 1st annual instead of our 7th annual Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt!

I sent Chloe into our side yard, but Carmen scooped her on the egg hidden in the hockey net.

Saturday we went with my parents to Writing-On-Stone for the afternoon, and I couldn't help thinking
.

it would have be an *egg*stra special place for an Easter Egg Hunt!

I just love your SPT posts, Barb. Well, actually, I enjoy all your posts. What a great idea to do a neighborhood hunt....really great idea.

A hunt at writing-on-stone would be the best easter egg hunt ever. It could be for all ages with no extra work required!

Now, if we could only PLAN to have good weather on Easter weekend, it could acutally happen!

A neighborhood hunt sounds so awesome- and seriously, it would be awesome to hide and hunt eggs at that park. Wow.

We had a neighborhood one too.. It is so much fun.
I've never heard of the writing on the wall place. Looks pretty darn cool though. I'd love to be in an Easter egg hunt there myself...

Great fun. Our neighbor hosted her 4th annual hunt this year. I was sad that Mike's kids weren't here to partake in the fun. Writing-On-Stone looks like an amazing place.

What an incredible place! My husband served his mission in Alberta and we always talk of going back. This has been added to the list of places we want to see. Beautiful.

You are awesome to host an egg hunt. I'm sure your "coolest mom in the neighborhood" title will last quite awhile! :)

Good for you for hosting a neighborhood egg hunt--might be the start of an ongoing tradition.

I was happy to see in you short-sleeves...the "heat" must be coming! I am so happy for you...not as excited for me, though.

Your Writing-on-Stone reminded me of the Goblin Valley of my childhood. There is nothing better than weird rock formations and hours of free exploring time. How fun for all of you!

And here I was thinking of Goblin Valley, too! April beat me to it. It is in central UT. I've only been there once, but family members have been there many times. What a marvelous place to play!

And, what a fun egg hunt!

My cousin just showed me that color image thing on my camera. What a fun egg hunt. I still need to post about mine. Sounds like you had a great time on the hike. Very cool.
