National Science Fair

Today I came inside the school at the end of the day to talk to Carmen's science teacher. He asked me if  Carmen had given me the good news or the bad news. I said, "Both, I think."

Carmen has qualified to go to Canada Wide Science Fair with her experiment she did on the effect of Xylitol on oral bacteria. Yay! It is an honour and she will have a wonderful experience.

The bad news: she has to do her whole project over again. More research, new testing, all of it. Which she is totally willing to do, just to be clear.

Conveniently, CWSF is being hosted in Lethbridge this year. Wouldn't it make a fantastic preschool field trip, Marie? Ha!

Wow, that's impressive, but sounds a bit daunting.

Aye, yi, yi.

I'll bet she's got a great oral professor to help her get the project done.

Yes, I'm afraid I'll get sucked in this time - I was out of town when she did her first project this year.
