Cross Country Running

Last week I got to volunteer as a course guide at the cross country race hosted by our school.
m

m
I was at the top of the hill, which the runners had to climb twice from two different approaches. It was a fun spot to cheer the kids on as they met the most challenging part of the course.
m

m
Carmen was easy to spot in her pink shorts and I could see her coming from a long way off. (Reminded me of Steven in his green shorts.)
m
m
Chloe was more difficult to identify from a distance. I almost missed catching her with my camera as she ran past.
m

m
I'll have to keep an eye out for colorful athletic shorts in her size to help her stand out in a crowd.
m
But maybe not this year.
m
Today's race was cancelled for snow if you can believe it, and that means we only have one race left this cross country season!

Canceled due to snow? It looks so nice in your pictures, that is hard to believe. We are ramping back up to hit 100 on Friday. Why do we live at such extremes?

Snow already! Man, i'm not ready, I tell you.

We are a cross-country loving family, so I really loved this post and the idea of you making a course.

It's really too bad that I can believe it. Some kid was praying hard for a cancel.
No re-schedule??
