Then we met up with old friends at the top of Bear's Hump who came prepared with peanuts. (It is such a no-no to feed the wildlife in a national park! The people we ran into are locals and it seems they do it all the time.)

Spotted our first of six bear sightings.

We also went to our peanut-toting friends' ranch where Carmen rode horses, Steven made a kill (grape Crush), and I shot my first handgun (crazy).

Friday night we went out to eat and then saw a local production of *Singin' in the Rain* where we adopted our new favorite tongue-twister:
,
Moses supposes his toes's are roses, but moses supposes errrrroneously!

What a fun synopsis Barb. Six bear sitings? Was it comfortable?
How do you make foil cherry pies? I would love to know how.
I also want a foil cherry pie tutorial.
And you shot a handgun? That is seriously crazy.
What a fun long, long weekend!
I love Singing in the rain--it would be fun to see a play version!
I--also--would love to know how you did your pies! It looked like you had a fun time.
Wow, you spotted 6 bears during your trip? Did that make you nervous at all?
I love the picture of the girls throwing sticks into the lake, it's stunning!
I truly love the word "erroneous". What a fun trip for you guys. My boys were just asking today if I've ever seen a bear in real life other than at a zoo. When I said no, they asked if my mom or sisters have. I said I didn't know. But now I'll go inform them that YOU have!
So funny barb, I was in drama my senior year in high school. One of the things we had to do was act out this tongue twister adding to yours...for moses he noses his toe's aren't roses, as moses supposes his toe's to be...adding at the end some lines from shakespeare's Hamelt......or not to be that is the question.
Anyway - quite silly! It is fun to say though. Your photos look like a good time and I would freak seeing that many bears!
Yes it is your luck that Natalie is closer to you now! Have some of her cupcakes and homemade frosting for me!
PS I took some photos of an equestrian competition in lake placid I am going to send them your way so that Carmen might enjoy seeing. It was pretty cooL! Take care!
Um, where are the photos of you having your first handgun experience??
This looks like a lot of fun! I'm also interested in the pie tutorial -- looks like the best thing tinfoil ever made.
Bears, OH MY!!!
Looks like lots of fun!
