I went to drop off gold helium balloons at the church today, and here is what I found:
Our main doors had been paint-ball'd.
So I took these pictures and then I called the bishop. I told him the paint was still wet, and I asked him if I could go ahead and clean it up while I was there since I had taken pictures for reference should the church need them. He said yes, thanks, and sorry. (Why the apology?)
Other than that, today was golden.

Barb, you have such a knack for saying so much in so few words. I love the title and the implication of making a golden day out of what was handed to you.
By the way, your church doors are gorgeous! I haven't seen a building with those doors yet. How smart of you to take a picture and then report and then clean. You're such a good example in so many ways.
The paint--what a sad thing. So disappointing. I'm sure that was a mess to clean up--I hope you had help. :(
But--I love your golden picture. I'm sure the night was special and beautiful for your girls!
You do say so much with an economy of words, Barb! Sad about the paintball incident. But you look beautiful with your Oscar! (did you just happen to have that golden outfit?)
Paintballing the church! What idiots. About 3 weeks ago someone set fire to the dumpsters in our church parking lot. What losers.
You, however look fabulous!
Somone broke one of our church doors a month or so ago and I just had this pit in my stomach all day. Why would anyone desecrate a house of worship?
It's obvious you did what needed to be done and didn't let it ruin your night. What a great example!
First off Barb, you are gorgeous! What a memorable night a YW. It will stick with those girls no doubt.
I can't imagine paintballing a church humorous or fun. Sad.
I am glad your night went well!
Okay, how odd that they would paintball a church, but carefully keep it to the doors where it's more easily cleaned. Notice they didn't hit the brick at all? It's almost like they were being thoughtful...except for the whole shooting-paintball-guns-at-the-church part. Weird!
You are one gorgeous golden woman.
Look at you- you look great! So sorry about the paint ball on the church - absolutely disgusting what people think is "fun" these days.
That was nice of you to offer to clean the paint up.
You look beautiful in that picture, very golden.
That is terrible! Sure cleaning the church was just what you wanted to do.
I am sure that New Beginnings was fabulous.
I can't believe that happened to your building! Loving the calm phone call to the Bishop! You look fantastic! That Oscar is awesome! Hope your evening was wonderful minus the cleanup of paint...
Here are the things I love about you, demonstrated by this post:
1. You plan ahead. (how long ago did I see the Oscar-in-your-living-room post?)
2. You clean up other people's messes without a second thought.
3. You have your cell phone and your bishop's number with you.
4. You are a problem solver not a problem reporter. (your bishop's wife loves this about you too.)
5. You are gorgeous.
6. And yet, amazingly, you are even more beautiful on the inside. (see above for evidence.)
Talk about service. Good for you Barb!
ohhh my, that just looks like a lot of work to take off....and you do look GOLDEN GIRL, i WILL BE looking for you next sunday! I love your outfit....and the smile is the best!
