Everything looks so pretty and so festive. I don't know what a toque is, I'm going to have to look that up online.

I was wondering the same thing Jill was. I've heard "toque" a few times before but have never had a clue.

Glad your Christmas was merry!

Love the skating pictures...did I already say this? I just love that in your world "skating" is a "life skill." That is unbelievably charming to me.

And I just love the picture of your house on Christmas eve. The picture of peace and anticipation all at once!

merry Christmas to the whole band! i might have to steal your "Christmas is..." idea. seems like the perfect way to sum up the past few wonderful days!

Hey, there. A toque is a knit hat - a totally Canadian word that I threw in there just so that someone would ask the question.

I seriously didn't know anyone else did a pinata on Christmas Eve! How fun:)

You know what I like best about this post (other than the charming pictures of your beauties) is that I've been in your house and have perspective. I know just where that room is you're playing rockband in.

it seems so ridiculous to me that I spent HOURS decorating the pinata only to have it smashed to pieces

I love the picture of the dog "opening present". Must come in handy when there's an extra-stubborn package!

I too am charmed by the skating as life skill. I would be in serious trouble there.

Very cool Christmas. I love the ice skating, around, the park! Is it one big circle? That is neat. Let me know when the kids are in concert we look forward to hearing them!

Fabulous photos. I loved getting new clothes as a kid and I couldn't wait to put them on.

I can't skate either. It would take me days to get around the park, ha.

We got the same World Tour as a family gift and we returned it just today after much deliberation. I think our kids are just too young (8,7,5) and couldn't keep up. What do you think?

We always did a Christmas Pinata with our cousins. I need to being that tradition back in.

one of my most fave skating memories is from toronto in 1993. yep, still remember it well.

i had on a long jean skirt.

it was not a planned part of the night, to say the least!!

and i do love your idea(s) of Christmas.

ps- GH is so much harder than it looks when someone else is playing.

Looks like your family had a nice Christmas. GH looks like fun only when I am watching some one else play.
