It is also good with a gingerbread cake mix and lemon pie filling mix. I am just crazy about the ginger/lemon flavor combination!
Must try it. Mark made me a spice cake for my b-day. I just LOVE it.
Well - Happy Birthday. I'm so glad you had good cake. It does look good.
Happy Day After Your Birthday Barb. Dang, I'm sorry I missed it. Real sorry. Does it count I thought of you? No, I didn't think so, because I didn't think about it being your birthday when I thought of you yesterday.
Happy, Happy Belated Day Anyway.
Love,
Jane
Yesterday (and most of the time) i used the lemon pie filling mix. Hope you had a good day.
Hope you had a great day!! I will definitely try that one. I am a fan of both flavors!
Yum!
That sounds - and looks - so good!
Oh. My. Gosh. I don't know if I love any cake more than a cake with lemon sauce. Heavenly! I usually put it on a yellow or angel food cake, though. I also love spice cake with caramel frosting. So now I'm thinking...spice cake and lemon? Could I? Should I?
Oh, you're evil for even putting the thought in my head. Thanks a lot. I'm drooling.
That does sound like a wonderful combination. Looks like it was pretty good!
I love the picture of the crumbs on the plate!
I hope it was a great birthday for you!
So great...a birthday and a wonderful cake! Happy Day to you!
That's a new one for me--haven't had those flavors together. It sounds so much like fall&winter rolled into one.
Happy belated birthday,I hope it was a good one!
I have never heard of this cake. It sounds wonderful though. Thanks for passing on the recipe.
Your China really does look like mine. When you mentioned that a while ago, I couldn't picture yours at all. Great minds, right?
I might have to try this (after our November cake season is over). I just can't quite imagine how this would taste, and honestly, it doesn't sound good to me. But, I trust your food recommendations implicitly, so now I'll have to give it a shot. And heaven knows, I have the lemons necessary for the sauce.
