SPT

I woke up wondering what I would do if I had an extra hour in my day today. I found myself thinking that I really wouldn't like an extra hour; I don't seem to have the energy to efficiently fill the hours I already have. Then I wondered if I did have additional time would I want to extend something I already do in my day, or add something new?
And why was I taking this question so seriously?
My answer came tumbling into my brain around 5pm when I picked Jaclyn up from her piano lesson. Of course. If I had 25 hours in a day, I would spend one of them playing the piano.
.
Why, oh why, does SPT have to lead to so much self discovery?
.
With my answer to this week's challenge I am feeling a need inside of me to act on it. I suppose that is why I took the question so seriously: I probably do have a few extra hours laying around here most weeks.

Very cool photo, as usual. I just love the introspection that spt can provoke!

Sounds like it would be a very relaxing and worthwhile extra hour.

Impressiving hand formation on those keys, Barb! I appreciate the way you internalized SPT.

I thought of all the things I really should do also, but I decided I probably wouldn't do them anymore than I do now! If I really wanted to add that weight lifting to my workout, I would get up when my alarm goes off, but for some reason I am really good at turning it off and going back to sleep!

so true on many levels-- spt does make me think, too.

and i do have an hour to use, i just need to get better about using it.

Love the shot you captured. self timer?

i always forget about that handy tool

I enjoy how these challenges make me look inward and do some serious self reflection sometimes. Otherwise I don't think I would take the time to even think that way.

Great shot!

I love how SPTs get us thinking about these things and documenting them with photos. Hopefully this means you'll sneak some piano time into your days.

Great photo! Is this the go go camera lens arm usage? I think it's great you have a talent to play, I really want to learn!

HA! I wondered the same thing that Jenny posted. Fun SPT - I sat down yesterday and played the piano - it has been way too long!

I love how STP get us to think to all those things. I am always thinking that I would have need more time to to things, but in reality, I think that if I had more time, I will still thinking that I just have not enough time to do all I want :-)
I love your photo, it looks really great.

Hey, mine was piano playing, too! But my picture-that-wouldn't-load wasn't nearly as cool as yours, so maybe that's a good thing, lol.

I say find that hour; I consider the piano to be free therapy!

Whenever I sit down to play ours, my kids come running and get all amused. I'd love to take secret lessons while they are in school. Maybe someday!

I'm not sure where I've been, but I thought for sure I've been to your blog more - I missed so much Barb - I hear you on playing the piano - we need to get together and play some duets, I just hope I can keep up!
