I'm hoping I get a few more Christmas cards than usual this year, and I need a larger spot to display them. My plan is to try to line my cards up on the molding above the double doors to the den. And if I run out of room there, I have a few more door headers on my main floor that could serve as shelves this year.

Neither life nor limb stays this blogger from the swift completion of her appointed self portrait! I had to climb up the outside of the staircase and hang onto the railing with one hand to get this picture.

All in the name of spt. I think on the molding is a great idea.
Stop Monkeying Around could be a literal admonition today! Your cards will look great there.
Monkeying around, indeed. You're living on the wild side, Barb!
Barb, you are adorable. And you have the best ideas:)
What zeal! Way to go Barb. I got your card in the mail and can I just say, "Wow." I loved it. What a great Christmas card, thank you.
I used to climb up the outside railing all the way up the stairs when I was in elementary...as long as I knew mom wasn't around.
I applaud your dedication!
Perfect place to put your cards. Your dedication is amazing! Cute post :)
I love this spt! I can just imagine you hanging on the outside rail. Too cute. Once again, I loved your card and photo. Really, how many shots did it take?
Such death defying dedication! Your readers thank you. Will you climb back up to read the cards during the holidays?
wow!!!!! constantly impressing me.
we have used a sleigh for years but you can't "see" the great cards so i want to do something more fun. at least for the "worthy" ones. :)
I think that looks like a great spot to put cards, but I hope it's easier to get them there than it was to get that picture!
PS~ I would love to send you a Christmas card, could you send me your address? my e-mail is katie_nash1@hotmail.com
Your bravery knows no bounds. I have never found a good way to display my Christmas cards. Perhaps that's because I'm not willing to defy death to do it? lol!
I just wanted to thank you for the Christmas card. Also had to comment on the fact that we just finished reading The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. My girls loved it.
Your creativity is endless girl--love it!!
I'm impressed with your feat of strength to get this SPT, that's dedication.
Hopefully you'll get lots of Christmas cards, though you may have to leave them up until the end of January to accommodate all your slacker friends in the States who don't mail them out until the end of December. (Not that I would ever do that.)
I'm sure I would have fallen off. I am clutzy by nature and the only time I have ever been somewhat coordinated was when I was pregnant. I guess all of the extra weight in my middle helped center me. :)
Cute pic of you!
funny! I think that in Jan you should do another SPT with you taking down all your cards from such heights! love it!
i love a blogger who will risk life and limb for a good spt!!
you might have to count me on a slaker part...if I don't hurry...but grab on tight to that rail, you look up high...
