These gifts still have me chuckling

We had to give Jaclyn this book purely so that she would own a book for 'Dummies'.

.

Ah, the chair mat. Our roads are fairly dry thanks to our frequent Chinook winds, and this interferes with road hockey because ice pucks don't glide on asphalt. One if our neighbor boys started using an old chair mat as a launching pad for shooting pucks, and it worked very slick, so Jaclyn gave Steven a chair mat for Christmas. We're going to put Steven's new chair mat in the den and just have Steven use our old chair mat. Is that wrong?

The karaoke machine isn't funny, per se, but the singing is highly amusing. Carmen is now planning a karaoke birthday party.

Santa put an easy button in Chloe's stocking. She was SO surprised and couldn't figure out how Santa had known she wanted one since she didn't even ask for it. Maybe Chloe's 1st grade teacher told Santa how much Chloe likes the easy button at school?

I love those pics! I'd totally swap out the chair mats. My dd is all about the karaoke, too. So much fun! I didn't even know you could actually buy Easy Buttons. I always push the one on the counter at Staples, but they are not amused (plus, it doesn't do anything, just sits there not making things any easier).

As a grandma, I don't think I would switch out the mats. As a Mom, yah, I probably would. Things look so different from this point of view. I love the Easy Button story. Yeah Santa

Chloe looks so cute with her bed head and easy button. What does she do with an easy button?

You are definitely right -- these are all amusing gifts. I love that you took pictures of all of them.

Those are all funny gifts, but Chloe with the Easy Button is the funniest to me.

So funny to see Jaclyn with a 'for dummies' book. And I think the chair mat launcher is a great idea!

These gifts are the best! I am in love with little Chloe and her darling look holding her treasured EASY button! How clever are you?!!

That easy button is classic. I had not idea they made them except for the commercial. Genius idea with the mats for hockey!--that is if you can handle it in your house right?

I love Chloe's easy button...I have one in my sewing room (the perfect place) and I smile every time I push it. In Arizona you can get "facil" buttons that speak in spanish. I love the absolute randomness of these gifts! Brilliant.

I thought I had commented here already. Chloe's face in that last picture is truly priceless. And family karaoke definitely translates into riotous laughter at our house.

I think it's hilarious that she wanted an Easy button. I have little doubt that each of those gifts will be remembered and laughed about years later:)

That easy button picture of Chloe is adorabe! I love that you purchased those "funny" gifts for your kids - and there is absolutely nothing wrong with launching hockey pucks off office mats - Since I live in Canada - I totally give it! You are awesome Barb - have a great day :)

Looks like you had a good Christmas. I love the easy button. I think you should post some video of that karaoke amusement.
How are you enjoying The Chosen? Surprisingly enough I've never read it.
