The acorn doesn't fall far from the tree

Today was Take Our Kids to Work day for 9th grade across Canada.
Jaclyn is very sure she is not interested in being a dental hygienist, so she went to work with Ken today.
*
*
When asked, Jaclyn and Ken both say their day together was 'good'.
*
This is about all the communication I'm getting from either of them.

At thanksgiving Steven was telling me about this pose that happens often at your home. Both reading the paper.

That picture is really cute with both of them sitting and reading the newspaper!

I know I did not read the newspaper when I was 14. I don't even particularly like reading it now.

Somehow I can just hear the "good" in both their voices. Good snapshot of them -- in picture and words.

That photo is so great and says a thousand words. Apparently they need some "down-alone" time :)

love the dual newspapers... i love to catch cass and scott (my readers) in the moment. ellie has started to tag along with her own book. too cute.

cass went with scott on take your children to work day last year and had to attend a political breakfast that scott could not get out of attending. her first words upon returning were "The bacon was so good! Oh and I lost my tooth."

Interesting...So I asked about the "learning aspect" of the day and she said, "Well, I know I don't want to be a politician."

Ok, then...
