The other day Jaclyn was bemoaning the fact that in a week she will have completed all the french learning that Alberta Education has to offer her, and she still doesn't feel like she can really speak french.  Maybe YouTube would have provided a better education:

She is so adorable!

I remember feeling the same way!

There is something so incredible about small children speaking another language - they make it look so easy!

The video is darling. I don't know what to say about Jaclyn's situation, maybe some cds or tutoring?

What a cute patoot! I know my girls would differ from Jaclyn in saying that I doubt you will see them ever want to learn french again. It's too bad really, but perhaps a little time away from Montreal will make them want to learn again!

That is adorable! I took French for 5 1/2 years, but I didn't understand a word of that video without the subtitles. Pathetic. I guess I need an extended vacation in France to get my skillz back.

I loved the fast munching away on the lolipop to get rid of the evidence. She was such a cutie.

I was also pretty proud of myself for being able to follow most of it. It has been a while since I was in French class.

Mille thinks she looks like Chloe!

That is even better the second time watching it. She's hilarious!

I remember going to France in at the end of Gr.9 and realizing I knew nothing. (I'd only had it for 3 years) But it consoled me that my cousins English education wasn't much better. You have to live in the language for a while too really learn it. So, trip for Jaclyn!

Very cute little girl. I hope Jaclyn continues learning French. I took 2 years of Spanish in high school, and I wish I could remember more of it.

I enjoyed the post about Chloe! She is so funny.
