Spring into Spring

The counsellor over weeknight Relief Society meetings wanted our power meeting (4pm-10pm) to be very 'spring'y.  Since we made a recipe of mine called Japanese Chicken (not a dish you'd actually find in Japan) I went with Cherry Blossoms for our decorations.

I found this idea online.  I think they used live cherry blossoms, but you know.  It was very pretty even with the silk flowers.

I tied it in with a little tack board decoration behind the buffet.  It went together beautifully in a gymnasium kind of way.

My favourite class was given on sprouting.  I'm going to try it out around here, so hopefully more on that later.

"It went together beautifully in a gymnasium kind of way." What a funny line.

I'm so glad you have a new calling. I can't wait for your new ideas.

I loved doing alfalfa sprouts for a few years and am excited to read what you do and how to do it.

The cherry blossom decorations are gorgeous, what a great idea!

I was scared you meant you had a 6 hour meeting kind meeting, yikes!

I love those blossoms in a vase! How did it go? I was sorry to have to miss it - it was the big band performance/fundraiser at Scarlett that night.

Wait! I still do think you had a 6 hour meeting. What is a Power Meeting. I'm afraid.

"in a gymnasium kind of way." Heh. I've said it before, someday I'm going to write a book, 101 ways to transform the gym.

I am in the process of painting the tree in Aimee's room. But before I started, I spent a lot of time looking at trees online, and in one baby room someone had painted cherry blossoms on a branch, just like the gym decoration, over the crib. It was beautiful.

Hope RS is feeling better for you!

I am so behind - are you in RS now? I guess I better go back to being a better blog reader....

I love cherry blossoms! So pretty. Even if it is in a "gymnasium sort of way"!
