Taste of Calgary

Friday night (during football practise) Carmen, Chloe, Ken, and I went to Taste of Calgary. Jaclyn stayed home and enjoyed some peace and quiet . . . this is something I understand. I am also an oldest child.
/
It was my second time doing Taste of Calgary, and I was mildly disappointed that it seemed to just be all the same restaurants participating again this year, but Carmen kept things fresh. She tells me that the last time we came I didn't let her have a raw oyster, I only let Jaclyn. Something new for Carmen to try, then.
/

/
Ken loaded her up with hot sauce and lemon.
/

/
She's got a sense of adventure, this girl.
/

/
She slurped just like Ken demonstrated (I didn't have one - are you kidding me?)
/

/
And kept it down!
I really wonder how this would have gone 2 years ago if I would have let her have an oyster then?
/
/
For the record, I didn't *let* Chloe have an oyster this year.
For the record, she didn't ask.

Gag! I will never try an oyster. Nothing that slimy should be consumed. I'm impressed Carmen kept it down.

Cute picture of Chloe's reaction.

Oh my, she's so brave! I have NO DESIRE WHATSOVER to try an oyster and am not that keen even of the thought of it.

I love it! Carmen is very adventurous--will she ever eat another one?

Chloe's face is the same face I was making while imagining eating an oyster!

That face is so classic. Love it. We had an oyster bbq not too long ago and ironically Taylor LOVED it. I still won't touch them. EWW.

Wow...I wonder if I should try technique on Ethan with "cream of wheat." "Let" all the other kids have some...

For the record, I love your charmed/charming life.
