Jr. High Awards Night

We don't pick up Jaclyn's report card till tomorrow morning, but we got a big clue as to what kind of grades she finished the year with at awards night tonight.
/
Jaclyn came home with awards including Top Student for 9th grade, the Sewell Cultural Arts Award, the Frose Band Award, Math Competition (top mark), Citizenship, as well as subject awards for Social Studies, Language Arts, French, Math, and Science.
My favorite moment not caught on camera was when Jaclyn and Ty gave eachother a high five as they met up in the aisle to walk up for an academic recognition. They were the only 9th grade students to achieve a GPA of 90% or better.

That is awsome! Just reading this made me smile with pride, and I've never met Jaclyn. That is certainly an armful of recognition to take home! Great job, Jaclyn.

That is so Great! You know looking at your picture & then of Jaclyn, she's your daughter? Not your sister? You are so young.. I guess when you don't get started for me until almost 30 & here I am almost 40 & have a 3 & 4 yr old. I wanted SO bad to be a young mom & to be 40 when my kids where at least 16+
Oh Well take it as it comes!

What a wonderful young woman. You have every right to be the proudest mom on the planet. Congratulations Jaclyn (and Barb).

I'd say that was a pretty good clue on her grades. :) What a fun night! Congratulations to you all!

I'm so glad to see she inherited my brains.

I always look like I'm grimacing in pain in my mom's pictures of me at awards night. It's probably because the teachers take about 5 pictures of you after EVERY award, and by the time my mom takes one at the end, my face hurts.

That Jaclyn is one high achiever. It must feel so good as her parent to know that she's using her talents and abilities so well. Way to go, Jaclyn.
