52 Blessings

Kleenex is a blessing. What would Carmen and I have done this week without facial tissue?
.
Here's Carmen posing with her giant garbage bag of used Kleenex from just this week. I kept emptying her bedroom garbage into this bag, which I just left outside her door until the next time her little garbage can needed emptying. She had a very sore nose after that much wiping, and I should know because I'm living with her cold now.
.
My dad always carried a hanky with him. The soft cotton fabric of a hanky is easy on the nose, but imagine if that black garbage bag was a double load of handkerchief laundry!
.
Every time I sneeze I say 'bless you' to myself and my box of tissue.

Bless you both! I am a big fan of the tissues with lotion. Sure they cost more, but what does my sore nose care about cost? Seems like germs have been extra feisty this season. Enough already! Feel better!

Carmen's poor nose! I'm sure it's discouraging to realize that's what you are facing this week. ow!

I think it's funny that you saved all her kleenex in one bag! Quite a visual.

I was going to type something else, but I'm not going to risk angering the virus gods by saying it out loud.

Oh my goodness...that's a lot of nose blowing (can you imagine the amount of umm....ummm...fluid that passed through her nose?)...my pity to you and your coming week...it's bound to be a long one!

wow! that is a lot of tissue trash.

have you tried the vicks tissues? i swear by them. not sure if it is the childhood nostalgia or just really great tissues but i love them.

soft and smell great, even through the sniffly.

feel better soon.

Are you serious? The whole thing is her tissue? Oh my, poor thing, I hope she's getting better :)

Her nose looked so sore yesterday! I hope that you and she are both over the worst and are soon mended.

My dad was and is a handkerchief man. I always found it the sweetest gesture when he would let me use it and then put it back in his pocket. True love for sure.

No, no, no, that is just wrong. I don't think one small body could produce that much mucus. Sorry, I just said "mucus" on your blog, how gross. Anyway, give the poor girl a drink of water for heaven's sake, she's gotta be dehydrated after all that!

Sorry to hear you've been tackled by the same bug. I hope you can keep it to half a bag!

Oh dear, that is a seriously big bag of tissues! I swear by Puffs. Ever since my aunt introduced me to them, I'm hooked. They're the softest. Hope you don't go through as many as Carmen did!

YES! Puffs is the answer! I blew my nose a zillion times last week - (think it might be the new pup??) anyhoo - that is a serious bag of kleenix! Hope YOU are feeling better soon!

Oh my. You poor things. I'm an allergy girl and have a box of kleenix in every room that I (also) bless often. Hope you guys are quickly on the mend!

Wow! Yes, certainly something to be thankful for with your colds. :-( I hope you are both doing better!

Congratulations on your blogiversary! Blogging really does change your life.

And...the cold! When I say it is cold I mean it gets to the 30s or maybe the 20s (F). I cannot even imagine your kind of cold! I've always wanted to be somewhere (but not live there!) that is so cold you can throw water and have it freeze before it hits the ground. Can you do that?

I hope your bag is considerably smaller. Poor girl!
