SPT: Feel the Heat

Feel the Heat - these are the words printed on the back of my children's x-country running team shirts.
Heat is my word this year. It came to me last week, which by the way was a good week for me. I fed my spirit, served others, and I received a reward I wasn't expecting: a burning in my chest assuring me that what I was doing was right.
.

It was a physical hotness, like having the room heater in the observation room at Carmen's riding lessons right inside of me. And still, as I think and reflect and look inward I can feel it, so my word and my goal is to hang on to that Heat.

I will ask myself daily: do I still feel it?

I can already see further applications for this word: exercise (feel the burn), passion (fever! when you kiss me - fever when you hold me tight). Who knows where Heat will take me this year?

.

That is a great word, and one I hadn't seen before. I can see all kinds of applications for it. And you've got to love that it came to you -- you didn't have to search for it.

You look so cold and rosy in that picture, I'm glad you've got that heat to hang onto!

So many awesome applications! How do you do it, you are so clever! I had my own heat moment this weekend and all day yesterday kept asking myself where it went? Really thoughtful-good job.

Great word Barb! I love that it's different and can be applied to so many things. I can imagine that heat is a big deal for you living up in Canada - when is that nice summer going to come back to us?! Take care my friend and really cute SPT!

Oh Barb, this is just perfect. On so many levels. I can't believe its that cold somewhere...you look so crisp and rosy. I just love the way your mind works...I can feel the heat clear over here. P.s. I think your husband will love this word as well.

Very interesting, Barb! I love the thought of asking yourself each day if you can still feel it. I think this is brilliant.

I have always enjoyed your comments on other blogs, you always have such a creative spin on things. Hence, an interesting word for 2008. I really like how you explained the different types of heat. Love the pics too!

I haven't done my SPT yet, but I plan to soon.
