A day in the life of my hair

Ponytail: I wear this from 6am (when I get up to take Jaclyn to Seminary) until after I work out.

Then, after I shower and blow dry, I'll decide that my hair looks good with my natural wave and plan to keep my hair like this for the day. I will not make it through a whole day with wavy hair. I will sometimes change my mind while I'm finishing my make-up, and sometimes later in the day, maybe before I go out for the evening.

At which point I'll straighten my hair.

Bobbi pin time!
'
(Eventually the cheek-bone length bangs my stylist likes will get to me.)

By evening I come full circle, returning once again to a ponytail.

  1. brilliant post!!

i have to say, with the exception of the pony tail (these past few years, at least) my hair goes through the same cycles every day.

5 pm = bobby pin time in my world...

  2. I agree with Lelly, what a fun post! The cycle of the ponytail.

  3. I couldn't live with out 'bobby pin' time. The bangs just get to a person late in the day.

  4. Too funny. I like it wavy! But I don't like MINE wavy. I've decided it doesn't matter what anyone else says about your hair.

  5. What I can't believe is that I think your clock says 9:30pm and you aren't in PJs! Of course, I'm usually in mine by 5pm

  6. How interesting! My hair goes up, then down, then up again too.

  7. Ha! This was funny! I do ponytail, down, back to ponytail...
I have Hunter asking me daily 'don't wear your hair in that thing today, ok?!'

  8. I wish my hair was long enough to pull into a pony!

    Cute hair. :)

  9. I will call myself 'efficient' now, because I pony from morning till night. No intermittant hair-dos.

It sounds better to say 'efficient' than lazy, doesn't it?

  10. Who knew the cycle of your hair would say so much about the cycle of your day? Fun post!

  11. I used to be sure to never leave the house without a hair elastic, but now that I've got short hair (with the cheek-bone length bangs) I never go without a bobbi pin! Though the one I had today has lost its zip and didn't want to hold anything for long. ;)

  15. My hair is short now, but my husband loves my hair long and then pulled back in a ponytail (or up somehow). Doesn't that defeat the purpose of having long hair??!!

Brilliant idea for a post Barb.
